“Ex Machina is the best kind of speculative fiction: its action is brisk, its characters startling, and its meanings multifarious.”~Michael Sragow, Film Comment

3 stars (Good Enough) Stylish, suspenseful and well-performed, but did rather grind along. I don't think the intriguing premise was satisfyingly explored. Maybe excising some shots of hot naked chicks and Wallpaper-mag interiors would have given more time for that... ~HiFi
4 stars (Very Good) A thought provoking film based on ideas not action scenes, what does it mean to be human? ~rat1512
2 stars (Good Try) The special effects were well done but the screenplay didn't make much of an impression. ~Tubbs
