Synopsis: A series of comic vignettes of life in a rural Icelandic community, which shows the intertwined lives of humans and horses in sometimes awkward detail, and poetically explores the isolation experienced by a mostly male farming community in the punishing Icelandic wilderness.
“Flabbergasting images and a delightfully dry sense of humor make Of Horses and Men a debut worthy of celebration.”~Jay Weissberg, Variety
3 stars (Good Enough) Most of the screenplay is shot in the beautiful outdoors. It is cold to watch and it must have been a difficult film to make particularly when half the cast is equine. The cadence of horse with music is beautifully captured.~tubbs
