The film's key character is an exchange student from Finland, and she provides a perspective that offers the film its crucial balance and poignance, but recommended also for those looking for an authentic hit of 80's teen nostalgia. This new (2014) edition also includes a bonus "revisited" segment in which the real-life cast of grown-ups reflect on their teenage selves.

2 stars (Good Try) Most of the kids are mainly white unfortunately and well heeled - so are not too interesting but the documentary has some archival value. ~Tubbs
