Berlin Syndrome
“Australian director Cate Shortland creates a dreamlike sense of place within a nightmare scenario with this taut and strongly acted thriller.”~RogerEbert.com
Aroview: An Australian photographer visiting Berlin to shoot architecture meets a charismatic local English teacher, but their first date turns into a nightmare of captivity. An extraordinary, claustrophobic horror with a riveting central performance from Teresa Palmer.
The director of the similarly Australian-German co-production, LORE, assuredly ventures into darker, crueller genre film-making with this one.

4 stars (Very Good) Realistic suspenseful and fearful story. Well-structured & convincing with very strong characters and never a dull moment. Horror film with a totally believable plot - doubly scary. Just as gripping on a second viewing. ~Sandy
2 stars (Good Try) There are others with a similar main theme but this is better than most. ~Tubbs
