Kojak Collection, The
Aroview: Telly Savalas stars as the tough but witty sleuth who became a small screen icon in the 1970's. This set features the three feature-length TV movies made outside of the series, which include some of his finest moments:
Series pilot The Marcus-Nelson Murders (1973) tells a fictional account of the 1963 "Career Girls Murders", a botched case of police coercion that led to the false confession of a young black suspect. This film is hailed as a high watermark in crime-based telemovies of the time.
Post-series The Belarus File (1985) sees Kojak investigate the murders of several elderly Russian men that lead to the trail of Nazi war criminals living in the U.S., while The Price of Justice (1987) reveals a mother's scandalous past when she is put on trial for the murder of her sons.
