“Every time you think you’ve got a grip on it, it plunges deeper into its own house of mirrors”~AA Dowd, AV Club

Aroview: A fascinating documentary following an actress who is preparing to play the role of newscaster Christine Chubbuck, who famously committed suicide on live television in 1974.

Provides an unflinching investigation into the emotional challenges faced by actors as they "transform" into their characters, and the moral questions around presenting a person's suicide as a digestible story. Actress Kate Lyn Sheil is excruciatingly responsible throughout the process of identifying with her character, bravely searching for an authentic presentation of a deeply troubled and mysterious figure.
