Mouth Wide Open
Aroview: A portrait of pioneering NZ camera person and inventor Ted Coubray, who was one of the first people in Australasia to use a sound camera. Offers a unique glimpse into the culture of film making in NZ in the 1920's. The title is inspired by the description offered by director George Méliès of the first public movie screening in 1895: "...mouth wide open, struck with stupor, surprised beyond expression..."
