Chilly Scenes of Winter

Aroview: A celebrated early rom-com from writer-director Joan Micklin Silver (CROSSING DELANCEY) with a likable John Heard playing a hopeless romantic civil servant in his early 30s who falls in love with an unhappily married woman in his office, but years later tries to win her back after she returns to her husband.

The first version of the film, entitled Head over Heels, had a happy ending, but was re-released in 1982 with the original last scene omitted and the title changed to match the book.
