5 stars (Exceptional) Outstanding British movie, terrific acting & a powerful story, not simplistic. A hard drama on the lives of women, realistic, no romance. Overall a really great movie on all levels. Producer Faye Ward & writer Nicole's extras esp. interesting. ~Sandy
3 stars (Good Enough) Jessie Buckley's energy reminds me of Julie Walters who happens to play her grandmother. Most of the screenplay is fine but there are scenes used as padding at times to link the musical segments. ~Tubbs
