Aroview: A hugely popular police procedural series starring Barry Foster as Van der Valk, a no-nonsense Dutch detective and head of the Amsterdam CID who are assigned to murders, blackmail, missing persons and the more tricky cases that come the way of the Dutch police.
Based on the novels of Nicolas Freeling, the five series available include the feature-length specials that were made in the early 1990s.

1 star (Turkey) Sadly dated. I read many of the Freeling novels 1962-1967 & enjoyed them at the time. But pace and cleverly-plotted thrillers have vastly improved since 1970 when these first two series were made. ~Anon
