Varda By Agnes
Aroview: Belgian-born film-maker/photographer/artist Agnès Varda takes a seat on a theatre stage to present photos and film excerpts that provide an insight into her unorthodox oeuvre.
Best known as one of the key conspirators (and sole female) of the French New Wave film movement of the 1950s and 1960s, her films over many decades focused on achieving documentary realism, while addressing women's issues and other social commentary, with a distinctive experimental style.
