Leonardo (TV Mini-series)

Aroview: Three-part BBC docu-drama exploring the life of Italian polymath Leonardo da Vinci, from early childhood to his death in 1519. Dramatic scenes interweave with academic commentary with particular analysis given to several of Leonardo's remarkable creative projects.

A fitting bonus programme is "The Divine Michelangelo" (2004), a two-hour BBC docu-drama about the equally revered exponent of the Italian High Renaissance, who died in 1564. Narrated by Susannah York.
