Aroview: Travelogue documentary shot on 16mm which describes the lives of people in Poland, Russia and East Germany before the collapse of the Soviet Union.

Director Chantal Akerman takes an observational approach which captures faces, cities, landscapes and interiors across all four seasons, without any intrusion of commentary or dialogue. A remarkable achievement of documentary film making which rejects traditional ethnography and instead favours emotions, memories and transient impressions.
