Invitation to a Gunfighter

Aroview: Set in New Mexico in the wake of the Civil War, a small bigoted town is beset by racist prejudices despite being outwardly pro-Union. Yul Brynner plays a gunfighter who is hired by an unscrupulous banker to rid the town of a Confederate vet. But the gunfighter, a creole of color, has his own unorthodox approach to the job.

A meaty psychological western filled with multiple motives and political views, which ambitiously explores the hypocrisies of racism in a small town.
