How to Be a Good Wife
“Though it's miles from the French New Wave provocations of the era, this breezy satire sows the seeds of rebellion through escalating farce, a winning comedic ensemble, and a dash of queer longing.”~Luke Goodsell, ABC News (Australia)
Aroview: Feather lite French comedy set in 1968, with the predictably scene-stealing Juliette Binoche playing an immaculate and morally upright teacher at a school which trains teenage girls to become subservient housewives.
Her ideals are threatened when a nationwide protest movement spurs the school's pupils towards liberation, and a long-lost first love returns into her life unexpectedly. An entertaining, undemanding satire with a tender heart.
