Edwige Fenech plays the wife of an abusive, alcoholic writer, living in a crumbling mansion in Venice with a mysterious black cat named Satan. The dysfunctional couple host lavish parties filled with hippies, and play abusive games with each other, as it emerges a serial killer is stalking the gothic hallways. Borrows liberally from Edgar Allan Poe's 1843 short story "The Black Cat".
