Diana Rigg plays an aspiring journalist who commissions the assassination of the the self-confident chief of an association of hitmen for hire (Oliver Reed). However, he decides that having money on his head will rid his organisation of incompetents, and gleefully encourages his own henchmen to go after him. A lavish production with shades of both Ealing comedies and Bond films, with dazzling chemistry between two gifted lead actors.
