“A fully realised, immaculately tailored creation which conceals a slow-burning sense of mischief under its deliberate oddness and ornately deadpan dialogue.”~Wendy Ide, Screen Daily
Aroview: Required viewing for those with an interest in the machinations of the Arts, director Peter Strickland steps up as the rightful heir to British auteur Peter Greenaway with this follow-up to “In Fabric”.
Set at an institute devoted to culinary and alimentary performance, it is even more bizarre but no less impressive, coinciding with Cronenberg’s “Crimes of the Future” as a performance art satire, hinged on the push and pull between artists, patrons, journalists and audiences, presumably based on his own experiences.
