Synopsis: A satirical French silent film, which uses a number of inventive visual techniques to comic effect. A dancer at the Paris Opera is the mistress of an older conservative politician, while also entering into a romance with a young left-wing union organiser. Received positive reviews, though its release in France was delayed due to objections over the film's depiction of the French Parliament.
