Crisis
Aroview: The very first film Ingmar Bergman directed, which focuses on a young woman who attracts the attention of every man in her village, and who is caught between the influences of her prim-and-proper adoptive mother and her uninhibited city-dwelling biological mother. Bergman is still finding his feet here, and he himself described the film as a 'bona fide fiasco', but the seeds of his later work are visible.
