Ipcress File, The
Aroview: An academic James Bond-style thriller involving kidnapping, espionage, mysterious tapes and corrupt authorities. Stylised photography and an 'insubordinate' Michael Caine make this a treat.

4 stars (Very Good) Stars Michael Caine in one of his first outings. Some of the subtlety of the classic Len Deighton novel is lost in this terse adaptation but the cinematography is still fresh and the movie still stands as something of a British classic ~Anon
4 stars (Very Good) Stylised to the point of ridiculousness, this is still a surprisingly down to earth spy thriller from a lot of the same people who made Bond movies. ~Pearce
4 stars (Very Good) Very good performances from Caine and Green who are at their best when they are crossing swords. The screenplay lags a bit toward the end but the ending itself is very good. ~Tubbs
