Raising Cain
Aroview: De Palma's tongue-in-cheek return to the psycho-thriller contains many flashy set pieces including an elaborate ten-minute single take. John Lithgow has a ball as the father and husband with a fatally split personality.

2 stars (Good Try) It doesn't work but you have to give credit for originality and Lithgow's performance. ~Tubbs
4 stars (Very Good) A thriller that's really a comedy for thriller-lovers: realism is banished so De Palma can concentrate solely on winding us up for the next twist, or sick joke, or jolt-scare (you were warned). Lithgow's a consistent hoot in multiple roles. ~fairbrother
3 stars (Good Enough) Classic De Palma. Not a classic though. ~Biggie
