Feeling Minnesota
Aroview: Another in a line of sorry tales of violence, aimlessness and broken dreams, this represents everything that was bad about independent (American) film in the 1990s.
It uses a premise that is both derivative and convoluted, it adopts a tone that fluctuates randomly between the featherweight and the repugnant, and flaunts a 'name' cast who seem to be more directionless than their characters. There are many other films that suffer to the same degree as Baigelman's, it's just that most of them we are now having the good sense to avoid.
