Paradine Case, The
Aroview: Lawyer Gregory Peck falls in love with the 'wrong woman', in this case Alida Valli, a client charged with murdering her blind husband. In classic Hitchcock-ian fashion, he develops an obsessive belief in her innocence that threatens his marriage and career.

2 stars (Good Try) Stodgy and overlong, but great supporting cast and photography (Lee Garmes). Worth seeing just for Joan Tetzel, Laughton perving on Ann Todd, and Barrymore conveying a whole, sad relationship in a couple of lines, a couple of expressions. ~HiFi
