Starmaker, The

Aroview: The director of CINEMA PARADISO reprises another movie-enchanted tale. An endearing con-man tours the countryside, posing as a studio talent scout amid the enthralled villages and farms. The comic potential of ordinary folk baring themselves to potential stardom is, however, scuppered by a contrivedly 'tragic' final reel.
