Things to Come
Aroview: Mind-boggling visualisation of a 21st century utopia, with ant-like humans inhabiting monolithic structures on towering, ten-acre sets. The rather more banal story concerns power struggles between despot Ralph Richardson and scientist Raymond Massey. Adapted by H G Wells from his novel Shape of Things to Come.

2 stars (Good Try) You've never HEARD such dialogue: Wells, the great writer, just can't write lines fit to speak. But the best moments are pure art direction - WCM's actual career - and well worth a look. ~HiFi
3 stars (Good Enough) The set builders and model makers do a great job. Ralph Richardson enjoys himself and there is some interesting pontification from Raymond Massey. The basic plot idea still has relevance today. ~Tubbs
