Aroview: Round three for the creators of SHALLOW GRAVE and TRAINSPOTTING this time takes Ewan McGregor Stateside for a screwball comic-fantasy embroided with '90s pulp irony.

However, gone is the sturdy support of a source novel - instead a series of strained comic vignettes are strung together in flimsiest of road movie traditions. Diaz adds another dud to her not-so-hip resume, while Ewan's haircut and Versace shirt smack of the glibness of the whole exercise. Only Holly Hunter offers something we haven't seen before - as a ball-busting arch-angel, she provides both of the film's laughs. We moot a new title: Lifeless, ordinary.
