Life
Aroview: Set in the HIV-isolation unit of an Australian prison, this is reflective cinema at its most interesting, distilling down the raw terms of existence for two male inmates. Enchanted with the repertoire of cinema technique and inter-woven with multiple flashbacks, avant-garde dir. Lawrence Johnston transmutes playwright John Brumpton's play (he also plays the lead) into a small-scale, but unique experience.
