Boiled down to a filmable essense it inevitably loses some of its potency, and you might need to change down a gear or two to appreciate its elegant pleasures.

2 stars (Good Try) The running time is the killer. Although the book might not be easy to bring to the screen the screenplay & performances need to be spot on to keep an audience for over two hours. However there are some good scenes & the photography throughout is quality. ~Tubbs
