Matchmaker, The

Aroview: Political aide Janeane Garofalo is sent to an Irish coastal village to find or contrive some cosy, voter-friendly heritage for her senatorial candidate boss, but becomes somewhat distracted by the annual 'matchmaking' festival. The trans-Atlantic romantic formula is vitalised by Garofalo's beguiling mix of cuteness and self-effacement, and backdropped by clover-leafed countryside to die for.
