Apparition

Aroview: A sceptical, widowed portrait photographer investigates reports of everglade fairies and becomes transformed by otherworldly encounters. Inspired by the infamous 'fairy' photographs (that were decades later proved to be fakes), this slightly flaky fantasy-drama is lovely to look at, but over-reaches for grander themes of faith and sacrifice, and is burdened by Toby Stephens' gormless central performance.
