5 stars (Exceptional) One of the greatest war films ever made, based in part on Conrad's Heart of Darkness, this nightmarish tale tells of the futility of war, compellingly drawing us in to the minds of the men who have been to this hell. ~Tom H
5 stars (Exceptional) A huge movie on a huge canvass. Darkness in the heart of man. Only the largest of screens does this one justice. It's a landmark in the history of cinema, no doubt about it. Not for the squeamish. ~Anon
5 stars (Exceptional) For many years this was my favourite film. Harrowing, stunning, brilliant and totally insane are just a few of the words that come to mind when I think about this film. I must see but prepare myself for exhaustion. ~Anon
