Deceiver

Aroview: Suspected of a gruesome homicide, troubled rich kid Tim Roth may or may not be running rings around not-so-clever cops Michael Rooker and Chris Penn during a polygraph interrogation.

Heavily indebted to the likes of David Lynch and the Coen Bros., this claustrophobic, talky whodunnit piles on the ominous drones, flashbacks, lighting tricks and dolly-shots, but such can do little to disguise the convoluted plot and lack of genuine suspense.
