Rests on a tremendous turn from Anthony Hopkins as a terminally-ill magnate negotiating the terms of his death with The Grim Reaper, personified by Brad Pitt. Alas, at three hours there's just too much time to meditate on Pitt's complete lack of expression, though it still beats WHAT DREAMS MAY COME as Hollywood's High Religious Statement of 99.
