Aroview: The spooky qualities of the Australian Outback enhance this tale from Tim Winton's novel, which has an unknown marauder attacking stock in a remote valley, disrupting the lives of residents Miranda Otto, Brenda Blethyn and Ray Barrett.

Hints of never-resolved mysteries from the various pasts of these lonely people cause eerie flashbacks. Not entirely successful, but a stimulating, original work.
