Beloved

Aroview: Risk-taking adaptation of Toni Morrison's novel of rural Southern Gothic, former-slave Ophrey Winfrey (her first role since THE COLOUR PURPLE) confronting the horrors of the past through an uncanny visitation from Thandie Newton, who may or may not be a ghost. Hard-to-grasp plot will reward the imaginative viewer.
