Aroview: Intelligent terrorist thriller, seemingly inspired by events at Waco and Oklahoma City, weaves a complex tale of deception and paranoia around widowed schoolteacher Jeff Bridges and his questionably squeaky-clean neighbour Tim Robbins. Any predictability or lapse into 'psycho-by-numbers' territory is ingeniously turned around in a bold and unexpected climax that also blows open its disturbing political subtext.

3 stars (Good Enough) Jeff Bridges is a fine actor but not in this one - his performance is one overreaction. The musical score is also intrusive at times. However, there is a saving grace in the screenplay and this deserves to be seen. ~Tubbs
