Final Destination
Aroview: A young man's premonition that his Paris-bound plane of classmates will explode after take-off causes a fall-out of unpredictable and macabre events.
Preys intelligently on youth mortality and fear of flying, and follows with a series of nifty twists that duck and dive in and around the concept of Fate. With dynamic shocks and scenes of slow-burn foreboding both handled with flair, this largely straight teen horror is probably the best of the post-SCREAM contenders.

4 stars (Very Good) Right at the top of the teen horror genre, along with Scream, Final Destination is an interesting premise that creates a brilliant (though unnecessary) excuse for killing off unsuspecting young victims in imaginative and gory ways. ~Tom H
2 stars (Good Try) It has dated a bit 17 years on and not as good as the original viewing - mainly because the format of the screenplay is now familiar and the situations become predictable. ~Tubbs
3 stars (Good Enough) Lovely cheesy fun. Great time. ~gradientboon
