Lumiere and Company
Aroview: Fitting homage to those pioneers of filmmaking, the Lumiere Brothers, made on Cinema’s Centennial celebrations in 1995. Forty directors were asked to create a fifty-second film using the actual original film camera of the Brothers and the results are varied, intriguing and strange. Among those who enlisted: David Lynch, Spike Lee, Zhang Yimou, John Boorman, Costa Gavras, James Ivory, Wim Wenders and 33 others. Features interviews with those involved.
