Hearts in Atlantis
Aroview: Muted elegy for lost smalltown adolescence from the pen of Stephen King, that like STAND BY ME casts shadows of unease over its nostalgia.
Fatherless 11-yr old Anton Yelchin gains an unusual friend in mysterious boarder Anthony Hopkins, whose psychic gifts (shared by the boy) spell a paranoid fear of threatening, archetypal ‘Low Men’. Relying primarily on the slow powers of atmosphere, this may provoke a bit of a ponder in some, itchiness in others.
