Enigma
Aroview: Superior period-thriller, loosely set around the dedicated cryptanalysts of Bletchley Park who led the race to crack the Nazi’s Enigma code during WWII.
Based on the book by Robert Harris, this is spun into a compelling dramatic shape by Tom Stoppard (SHAKESPEARE IN LOVE) who contrives a web of enigmatic personal conflicts between eccentric mathematicians, military staff and double-agents. Kate Winslet, Dougray Scott and Jeremy Northam are an impressive leading trio of stars.

3 stars (Good Enough) Although the true story of the code breakers is now reasonably well known this dramatisation is well worth it considering the quality of the cast and the production's period details. ~Tubbs
5 stars (Exceptional) Hugely underrated! Excellent acting & gripping screenplay, from Britain's top playwright. Captures the cheek of expert codebreakers well & the unique atmosphere at Bletchley really well. The stupidity of the military is very evident and was real. ~Anon
