Source, The
Aroview: Superb chronicle of the ‘Beat’ movement and the work of its founding fathers – Jack Kerouac, Allen Ginsberg, William Burroughs – and their influence on subsequent movements of the counter-culture as well as the literary and cultural landscape at large. Features interviews with all the remaining key figures (incl. Ken Kesey, Timothy Leary) and contemporary readings by Johnny Depp, John Turturro and Dennis Hopper, but this is especially impressive in its broad assemblage of archive material and its inspired mode of presentation.
