Aroview: American teacher James Russo embarks on an affair with a beautiful Italian woman in Rome, which gets interesting when she buys him a belt... to whip her with!

Based on the novel by Albert Moravia, this forgoes moral seriousness for a latterday Eurosleaze tone which never quite succumbs to soft-porn formula as the relationship (and marriage) enters a torrid downward spiral.
