Death to Smoochy
Aroview: An exuberantly mean-spirited send-up of kids’ television, where lewd, foulmouthed clown Robin Williams declares "death to Smoochy", a purple dinosaur (Edward Norton), who has replaced him in his television slot.
Media cynics with relish its un-cuddly showbiz satire, though some of the great ideas in the script get swamped under De Vito's heavy hand.

2 stars (Good Try) I really don't know what the talented Catherine Keener is doing in this. ~Tubbs
4 stars (Very Good) Sorry, Aroview: the movie clearly states Smoochy's fuchsia. Everybody was obviously having a blast making this delightful black comedy, which goes in every direction except the ones I expected. Also, a good highlight of how shot Jon Stewart is. ~Pop&Coffee
