Kissing Jessica Stein
Aroview: After a series of ‘straight’ failures, straight-laced Jessica Stein dabbles with same-sex romance and finds a twisted kind of happiness with a flamboyant art-curator.
Performing their own script, newcomers Jennifer Westfeldt and Heather Jourgensen put a gay spin on the romantic pig-in-the-middle formula and find an amiable, contemporary Manhattan comedy, which despite slightly flat direction and unpolished performances, holds plenty of appeal to both mainstream and niche audiences.
