Aroview: Two affluent, nihilistic high-school students plot to “derange the world” with a perfectly planned and executed murder, which flinty detective Sandra Bullock must solve correctly.

Half-decent thriller, while it stays with the teenagers and the rituals of a doom-bound friendship, though the police-procedurals of Bullock and partner Ben Chaplin are more by numbers. An interesting companion-piece to the likes of SWOON and COMPULSION.

0 star (Not rated) Perfectly cast with Pitt and Gosling with a tinge of Rebel Without a Cause, not so much a "who dunnit" but a "will they get caught" and if so, what mistake did they make? ~rat1512
