A Fistful of Dynamite
Aroview: Leone’s final spaghetti-western is a sprawling adventure set in the Mexican revolution, with fistfuls of action and comedy aplenty to rival his best work.
Rod Steiger is head of a bandito clan who gets sucked into the civil war by IRA dynamiter James Coburn under the promise of a bank job, the initial comic gaggery slowly opening out into an epic vision of war and state cruelty. Featuring some of the most grandiose explosion sequences ever put on film, this also boasts Ennio Morricone’s wackiest score. Better known in its shortened state as “Duck, You Sucker”, this is the full-length English version.

2 stars (Good Try) 45 years on it hasn't aged well. There are some good segments that have weathered okay but you need patience as they appear periodically in a long film. The musical score is the exception and is timeless. ~Tubbs
