God Told Me To
Aroview: This notable yet little known 70s horror is typical of cult director Larry Cohen’s better work (Q, IT’S ALIVE) – tightly written, atmospheric with good use of real locations, elaborate action scenes, and an “incredibly strange” premise.
Here it’s the story of a devout NYC cop (Lo Bianco) who is “chosen” to find the link between a series of unmotivated murders committed by ordinary members of the public – the detective trail leading him to a climactic confrontation of biblical proportions!
