Bad Company
Aroview: A crafted, deliberately unromantic western which follows a young Jeff Bridges’ flight to escape from army recruiters into an 1863 West characterised by misery, deceit, black humour and melancholy.
Underrated at the time, this is now seen as a notable twist on the genre revisions of the 70s (see MCCABE AND MRS MILLER) with a distinct agenda all its own. Autumnal photography by Gordon Willis.
