Samsara
Aroview: A spiritual and visually resplendent drama based around the sexual awakening of a novice Buddhist monk in remote, mountainous Tibet.
After engaging in solitary meditation for three years, he finds himself powerfully attracted to a local farmer's daughter, thus begins another phase of his journey toward wisdom. Slowly paced and short on dialogue, this mainly conveys its profundities through its wondrous sense of Himalayan landscape (the film was actually shot in Northern India). Samsara translates as 'the world we live in'.
